Investiture works in a similar fashion to energy in that it follows its own version of the laws of thermodynamics. The Second Law, according to Brandon, "stands as is",{{wob ref|3544}} this refers to the fact that energy flows from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration. This can be observed through how Investiture tends to leak out of bodies containing it, and how it tends to flow into vessels that aren't Invested.
