He came to the town withbrings his son [[Rillir]] whowith washim and plans to bemarry marriedhim with Wistiow's daughter [[Laral]] for the purpose of an alliance between Roshone and a good house.{{book ref|sa1|37}} Roshone and his son wentgo on a [[whitespine]] hunt wereand both of them wereare wounded badly. Eventually Brightlord [[Amaram]]'s army camepasses tothrough Hearthstone (approximately {{date/sa|year=1167}}). Amaram showed up with Roshone and Laral (wearingon a bride'srecruitment prayer on her arm what indicated that she would have to marry Roshone). He camedrive for the recruitment of newhis soldiersarmies. When not enough of Hearthstone's men volunteeredvolunteer, Roshone pickedforcibly moreconscripts toother fill Amaram'seligible armycitizens. While [[Lirin]] and [[Kaladin]] wereare safe from this duty (because they wereare a surgeon and his apprentice and thus vital to the citytown) Roshone pickedchooses [[Tien]] to hurtspite Lirin, andwhich hisleads family. Becauseto Kaladin wouldn't leave Tien alone, he volunteered, and so Lirin and [[Hesina]] lost both of their sons on the samealso dayvolunteering.{{book ref|sa1|44}}
