'''Hashal''' was the wife of Brightlord Matal, the lighteyes in command of the bridge crews on the [[Shattered Plains]] after the execution of [[Lamaril]]. She attempted to put stress on [[Bridge Four]] by making them work Chasm Duty, as well as eventually making them take part in all Bridge Runs. She did this in the hope of causing the deaths of Bridge Four members, notably [[Kaladin]].
