Harding, however, was the Scribbler. [[Chalkling#Wild Chalklings|Wild chalklings]] under the command of his Forgotten has consumed William Muns, and he traveled to Armedius to continue this work.{{book ref|Rithmatist|24}} He first attacked and consumed [[Lilly Whiting]], to spread panic between the students. He then insists students to stay at school under his protection, killing [[Charles Calloway]] to further discourage any thoughts on leaving the school.{{book ref|Rithmatist|23}} After all students are concentrated at the school as he planned, he goes on, attacking and consuming the students. Eventually, he is stopped by [[Fitch]], [[Melody]] and [[Joel]], and the people consumed by his wild chalklings are released.{{book ref|Rithmatist|24}}
