A page from the sketchbook of Shallan Davar depicting a whitespine.

Having only seen one specimen, in captivity, it is difficult to determine how the whitespine would behave in it's natural habitat. With tusks and claws like these, I can only imagine it being as terrifying as I have heard.

The whitespine possesses tiny eyes in recessed cavities. It may have good peripheral vision but poor focus at long distances.
The large nasal cavities suggest that it depends greatly on it's sense of smell.

The tusks are highly prized as trophies. Artisans engrave the surfaces or carve them into various shapes. The tusks will change in color over time, from the natural hue into a smooth, polished white.
