Eondel had a personal army,{{book ref|Elantris|11}} which was accepted to be the most effective fighting force in Arelon.
After Sarene's plans were foiled by Hrathen and Duke Telrii became king, Count [[Ahan]] betrayed the Group cousing Telrii to atack them. In the asoultassoult [[Roial]] was killed cousing the Returned Raoden to reveal himself. Telrii fleed with his men. Later Eondel led his men to an assaultattack on the palace in order to Avengeavenge Roial and retake the throne for Raoden. He personally slew [[Telrii]], but died from previously gotten wounds.{{book ref|Elantris|54}}{{book ref|Elantris|56}} He is buried in one of the graves dedicated to those who had fought for Arelon alongside [[Saolin]], [[Karata]], [[Roial]], and [[Hrathen]]. {{book ref|Elantris|epilogue}}
