The members of Bridge Four were suprised at the pure tenor of Dunny's voice. That evening, he helped Rock make their first communal meal.{{book ref|b|sa1|c|27}}

Dunny was killed during a bridge run. After [[Kaladin]]'s crew had set the bridge, [[Sadeas warcamp]]' troops started fighting the [[Parshendi]]. In the battle, one of Sadeas' archers accidentally shot Dunny in the shoulder and while injured thus, he was struck in the throat by a Parshendi arrow, killed instantly.{{book ref|b|sa1|c|53}}
