He is later tricked by [[Wayne]], in disguise as [[Wayne#Guffont Trenchant|Captain Guffont Trenchant]] from the [[Elendel#Seventh Octant|Seventh Octant]], into letting the [[Vanishers|Vanisher]] prisoners be interrogated.{{book ref|b|aol|c|8}}
