As someone who passed the flight school entrance exam, Bim is highly knowledgeable about piloting and [[starfighter]]s.{{book ref|sky1|8}} He has trained to pilot a [[Poco]], perform aerial maneuvers, and use its weaponry. He is highly interested in the [[Starfighter#destructor|destructor]] guns that are affixed to combat starfighters, and is overly eager to train using the weapons.{{book ref|sky1|14}} Compared to his fellow flight members, Bim is not as skillskilled with a [[Starfighter#Light-Lance|light-lance]].{{book ref|sky1|15}} Bim is aware of flight school traditions prior to starting his training as a cadet.{{book ref|sky1|8}}
