Baon has a "brutish frame".{{book ref|ws1ws|3|review=yes}} He is tall and muscular, with broad shoulders. He has short, dark hair and dark skin, and wears a goatee.{{book ref|sa1|i|1}}{{book ref|ws3|5}} He typically wears a long white duster over a blue button-up shirt with gold ornamentation at the collar, khaki pants, and holsters on each side of his waist.{{book ref|ws1|5}}
