'''''White Sand''''' is a graphic novel, initially releasereleased in three separate volumes, based on a story written by [[Brandon Sanderson]] and adapted by [[Rik Hoskin]]. A number of different artists were used, with each volume having its own lineup. Volume One was drawn by [[Julius Gopez]], colored by [[Sophie Campbell]], and lettered by [[Marshall Dillon]]. Volume Two was split between several artists; chapters one through five were drawn by Julius Gopez and chapter six was drawn by [[Julius Ohta]], chapters one and two were colored by [[Morgan Hickman]] and chapters three through six were colored by [[Salvatore Aiala Studios]], lettering for the whole volume was done by [[DC Hopkins]]. Volume three was drawn by [[Fritz Casas]], colored by Salvatore Aiala Studios, and lettered by DC Hopkins. It is set on the planet of [[Taldain]] and is a part of Brandon Sanderson's [[cosmere]] universe. The first volume was released on June 28, 2016. White Sand is, chronologically, the earliest book in the cosmere sequence.{{wob ref|10502}}

The primary system of magic on Taldain is known as [[sand mastery]]. Sand mastery involves the the telekinetic manipulation of white sand, a process that leaves the sand black for a time, at the expense of the user's water supply.

* In [[Summary: White Sand#Chapter 2|Chapter 2]] when Kenton wakes up after his fight with the [[sandling]] there is a boombox in the tent behind him. [[Brandon]] has confirmed that this is not canonical as the residents of Taldain had not yet reached that level of technology at the time of the story. [[Isaac Stewart]] said that the artist who colored the graphic novel misunderstood the line art and that there was not enough time to change it before the book went to print.{{wob ref|11076}} He also said that when they put out a second edition of the book this and the other inconsistencies will be fixed.{{wob ref|13246}} These revisions were accomplished for the omnibus edition.
