Skyward Flights

Hey! Your DDF Flight's page got the Keepers talking about the best way to set out the info on the different Skyward Flights and we were talking about giving them their own dedicated pages (at least the bigger ones) and creating proper categories for the Flights/Pilots/Ships. I've created the pages, but they're all still stubs for now as I didn't get very far with them. Did you want to move over the info on your DDF Flight's page to the individual Flight pages? For a combined list of the different Flights, categories are preferable over pages - I've only half made the category for now, but all the bigger Flights that are mentioned are now in it. :) LadyLameness (talk) 12:44, 22 July 2019 (UTC)

Hey! What's the best way to contact other people outside of Discord? Is there like a messaging system? Sounds good on giving the bigger flights their own pages, now that I consider it, I think for the smaller full DDF Flights like Stardragon, Nightmare, and Nightstorm, it'd be best to keep them on the DDF Flights article because we have so little info on them, but I'd certainly be fine with working on individual articles for the Skyward Flight, the other two flight school flights, as well as Spensa's father's flight, Hope Flight. Also, could you share a link to the category you've made?

Hey! There unfortunately isn't much that is used outside of Discord - talk pages (like this one) can be used, otherwise the Coppermind Forum Board is also available, though responses on both talk pages and the forum are generally rather slow and sporadic.

I like what you did with those Flight pages! Even though they're only mentioned once or twice the individual pages are still looking good I think - between the two of us we've made pages for all the known Flights, now to just flesh them out! We won't need the DDF Flight page anymore seeing as each Flight has their own page and there's a category that lists them - is there any other information on it you wanted to move elsewhere? The info you've got at the top of the page, I moved on to the DDF page last night as it was a good summary of how the Flights are set up. Let me know if there's anything else you want off of the DDF Flights page/once you're done moving stuff and then I'll the delete the page.

The Central Boosters page you made has some good information on it, though this should go onto the starfighter page instead of its own page. There's a number of individual pages of ship parts that all need to be collated onto the starship page - they were all created when Skyward came out and we weren't quite sure how we wanted to organise things yet. I've moved your information over and will redirect the page that way it can still be used as an internal link.

With the Shipyard page, I wanted to see your thoughts on using it as a page dedicated to the C-137-KJM Orbital (also good catch on that name, I've glossed over it whenever reading the book!) and treating it like a location/battle page (I'm not sure what the best infobox would be but I'm sure one of the other Keepers would have a recommendation)? We could put a history section that details the battle on the page and any features of the ship down as well? What are your thoughts?

The other information you've got on the Shipyard (M-Bot's comments about their original purpose) would be better placed on the Detritus page, I think. If we get more information about the orbital ring in the future then it could all go in a section about the shell around the planet, its creation, and its original purpose.

There's definitely still pages that need to be created for Skyward, but if you're able to double check with the Keepers before making new pages it would be appreciated, just because sometimes things are better placed on existing pages or organised in a different format (like categories). We can keep talking on this page if you would prefer, there'll just be a bit of a delay in responses. If you do ever need an answer back in a faster time frame, Discord would be the way to contact people.

I saw that you're almost done with the summaries! You've smashed through those - great job! They're looking really good and it's so nice to see that page filled in, particularly with Starsight coming up in the next six months. I'm sure people are going to start wanting to refresh their memories of what happens in Skyward in the next few months and now they're able to do so really easily! :D LadyLameness (talk) 21:43, 23 July 2019 (UTC)

Sounds good, I'm reasonably sure I've extracted all the info I need from the DDF page, and for creating new pages in the future, I'll definitely check with a Keeper via Discord before I do. Moving the C-137-KJM shipyard to a battle page and the central boosters to ship parts is also a good idea. Thanks for the recognition on the Skyward summaries, and thanks again for the heads up about moving some of the other articles!
