What do we want to do with citing different versions of the same map? I want to cite something in an article, but the Corbeau Dam is only on the Shadows map, so there probably needs to be a way to cite a specific version of a map. This will probably be helpful as there are multiple maps of Roshar and Luthadel as well. --Windrunner (talk) 02:44, 8 January 2016 (MST)

: You can currently achieve this using file ref instead but that's kinda lame. One idea would be to add a {book}/{version} selector to the map template, or an overriding {source}/{link} to stop using map in some cases. Another may be to prominently offer links to and descriptions of differences of all versions of maps on their image page. The simple option is just to make each of them have a unique name aka 'Roshar' vs 'silver kingdoms' vs ... but I understand the limits of that --Joe ST (talk) 03:51, 8 January 2016 (MST)

Multiple Maps

What do we want to do with citing different versions of the same map? I want to cite something in an article, but the Corbeau Dam is only on the Shadows map, so there probably needs to be a way to cite a specific version of a map. This will probably be helpful as there are multiple maps of Roshar and Luthadel as well. --Windrunner (talk) 02:44, 8 January 2016 (MST)
