This rattle: "A man stood on a cliffside and watched his homeland fall into dust. The waters surged beneath, so far beneath. And he heard a child crying. They were his own tears." It bears resemblance to Dalinar. He had a vision of Kholinar crumbling, referencing "watched his homeland fall into dust." Then, a child crying and his own tears could maybe represent his grief of Evi's death, as in Dalinar's flashbacks it often mentioned him hearing the crying or pleading of Rathalas' people. The water surging beneath is still confusing to me. I could, of course, just be looking for explanations in the worst spots, but this might be something to discuss further?

That's an interesting theory, but I think it's probably too speculative for the Coppermind; we try to keep theories to a minimum, especially with the Death Rattles. --Stargazer (talk) 15:40, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
