[[The Way of Kings (book)|The Way of Kings]] mentions the chasm on page 159 of the hardback edition, "The Honor Chasm, the bridgemen called it, for it was the place where they could make the one decision left to them. The 'honorable' decision. Death."
[[Kaladin]] makes a trip to the chasm at one point, meaning to jump from it, but is distracted by the return of [[Syl]] and ends up returning to the camp with renewed purpose.
