'''Shadows Remembered''' was a book full of children's tales about the [[Voidbringers]].{{book ref|b|sa1|c|33}} It was a thin, red book with a hogshide cover. The author had been curious about the folktales of the darkeyes and had spent years collecting them.
 
[[Shallan Davar|Shallan]] found [[Jasnah Kholin|Jasnah]] reading the book and thus looked for it herself, because she thought it would probably be a philosophical work about a historical murder.
