Halland encompassed the lowlands of modern day [[Hallandren]] and the mountain range of modern day [[Idris]]. It is bordered by the [[Bright Sea]] to the east. The capital city, [[T'Telir]], still sits on the coastline{{book ref|wb|4}} and is a major trade center.{{book ref|wb|9}} The [[Tears of Edgli]] grow only in the soil of Halland, and later [[Hallandren]]. This is due to [[Investiture]] seeping into the ground from [[Endowment]]'s [[Perpendicularity]].{{wob ref|13871}}{{wob ref|9833}}
The valley has a moderate climate that is never too cold and rarely experiences harsh weather.{{book ref|wb|12}} While the mountains experience cold weather, and few warm summers. The climate in the valley allows food to be grown without difficulty, while agriculture is harder in the mountains due to the cold. Powerful earthquakes are a frequent occurrence in the valley.{{wob ref|3483}} The growth of plants in this region is partly helped by [[Investiture]], much like the [[Elendel Basin]].{{wob ref|9833}}
The valley is inhabited by panthers, parrots, monkeys, and crocodiles.{{book ref|wb|32}}{{book ref|wb|35}}{{book ref|wb|27}} The Bright Sea is full of life, including many sorts of mussels, fish, and tentacled creatures.{{book ref|wb|22}}{{book ref|wb|40}}{{book ref|wb|53}}
The northern mountains have vegetation that buds out in spring, though it only gets warm for a brief period each year. Some valuable roots grow high up in the mountains.{{book ref|wb|2}}{{book ref|wb|9}} There are fields and meadows with grasses and wild flowers. The air is crisp and chilly due to the elevation.{{book ref|wb|29}}
