==Appearance and Personality==
He typically walks with military discipline but can readily disguise his background by altering his mannerisms.{{book ref|tsm|epilogue}}

Truth-Is-Waiting displays a coldness and flagrant disregard of the suffering of others. Though he seems to consider it wrong to bring destruction upon the people of [[Canticle]] simply for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, especially given their shared [[Threnodite]] heritage, it is not a strongly held belief. However, he finds the prospect of interrogating the more technologically advanced [[Scadrian]]s particularly pleasurable.{{book ref|tsm|epilogue}}

==History==
Truth-Is-Waiting arrived in the Canticle system flying in low orbit on the Night Brigade's warship.{{book ref|tsm|26}} He, along with the Admiral and several other members of the Night Brigade --including at least two [[shade]]s-- descended onto the planet to gather information about [[Nomad]]'s whereabouts.{{book ref|tsm|epilogue}}

At their first encountered settlement, Truth-Is-Waiting commandeered a ship and used it to pose as a person from a town in another [[Canticle#Cities and Ships|corridor]] who had come seeking explanations.{{book ref|tsm|epilogue}}

Approximately one day after Nomad [[Sigzil#Skipping|Skipped]] off the planet, Truth-Is-Waiting conferred with the people of [[Union]] and learned from them of Nomad's apparent death in a fight with the [[Cinder King]] and of the Scadrian [[Scadrian research facility|research facility]] stationed below the planet's surface.{{book ref|tsm|epilogue}}

Truth-Is-Waiting returned to the stolen ship, walking with a slouch so as to not draw undue attention from his usual military discipline, and reported what he learned to the Admiral.{{book ref|tsm|epilogue}}

== History ==
Sometime after [[Nomad]] skipped to [[Canticle]], The Night brigade flew there.{{book ref|tsm|26}}

At some point they went down to the surface, encountered a city and stole one of their ships.{{book ref|tsm|epilogue}}

A day after Nomad skipped away, possibly to [[UTol]], The [[Admiral]], Truth-Is-Waiting and some other members of the Night brigade arrived at [[Union]], posing as a ‘delegation’ from a town in a different corridor. During their time here, Truth-Is-Waiting was sent to talk to the natives  to find out what they knew, after talking with them he returned to the stolen ship and reported what he had learned, which wasn’t much, he had however learned that there was a Scadrian research ship nearby.{{book ref|tsm|epilogue}}

After this they visited the Scadrians, trying to get as much information about [[Nomad]] as possible.{{book ref|tsm|epilogue}}
