Baon is a bowman from Taldain.[1]

Blunt was the alias of a man who was hunting for Hoid at the Purelake on Roshar.[2] He was tall, broad-shouldered but lean and muscled, with hair that was short and dark. Also going by the alias Vao, Blunt accompanied Galladon[3] and Demoux.[4] It seems likely that he is a member of the Seventeenth Shard and if so, it is possible that his master is the recipient of The Letter.[5]

Blunt wondered if there was something to the abilities that the Purelakers ascribed to their fish, but Galladon thought he had a tendency to believe in superstition. Blunt also spoke Selan well.

Blunt was not from Dragonsteel.[6] It has been confirmed that he is Baon, originally from Taldain [1], the Shardworld where White Sand presumably will take place.[7]

Abilities

Blunt had the ability to Worldhop,[6] and had the build and attitude of a soldier.[2]

Trivia

  • Long before the concept of the Cosmere was developed, Baon appeared as Doram in the first story Brandon ever wrote.[8]
  • Baon was also previously called Bowen before the linguistics of Taldain were worked out. [1]
