From the roughs, Wayne has always been a thief interested in others property and became a thief, at one point he was encouraged to use a gun and actively rob people. His first victim was a bookkeeper that was accidentally shot and killed when the gun fired accidentally. Sentenced to death, he was spared by Wax, although the details are vague, this would result in Wax becoming a colleague and friend.
 
During his time with Wax and other lawmen, Wayne would establish a notoriously bad relationship with [[Ranette]], who would shoot him on arrival.
As remorse for the death of the bookkeeper, Wayne sends half of what he earns to the victims family, and refrains from using guns, using duelling canes instead.▼
