From the [[Roughs]], Wayne has always been interested in others property and became a thief, at one point he was encouraged to use a gun and actively rob people. His first victim was a bookkeeper that was accidentally shot and killed when the gun fired accidentally. Sentenced to death, he was spared by Wax, although the details are vague, this would result in Wax becoming a colleague and friend.

 

 

As remorse for the death of the bookkeeper, Wayne sends half of what he earns to the victims family along with a letter of apology, and refrains from using guns, using duelling canes instead.
