At their first encountered settlement, Truth-Is-Waiting commandeered a ship and used it to pose as a person from a town in another [[Canticle#Cities and Ships\|corridor]] who had come seeking explanations.{{book ref\|tsm\|epilogue}} Approximately one day after Nomad [[Sigzil#Skipping\|Skipped]] off the planet, Truth-Is-Waiting conferred with the people of ~~one of the planet's floating cities (likely~~ [[Union]]) and learned from them of Nomad's apparent death in a fight with the [[Cinder King]] and of the Scadrian [[Scadrian research facility\|research facility]] stationed below the planet's surface.{{book ref\|tsm\|epilogue}} Truth-Is-Waiting returned to the stolen ship, walking with a slouch so as to not draw undue attention from his usual military discipline, and reported what he learned to the Admiral.{{book ref\|tsm\|epilogue}}
