'''Trelagism''' was a religion in [[Scadrial]] before the ascension of the [[Lord Ruler]] and the establishment of the [[Final Empire]]. Trelagism was named after the god '''Trell''', who was worshiped by a people known as the '''Nelazan'''. The Nelazan lived far to the north on Scadrial, ~~north~~but just south of its equivalent of the Arctic Circle. Consequently, their winters had few hours of daylight and their summers had few hours of darkness. They were a determined people and mapped out the entire night sky. Trelagism taught that daylight was profane, caused by the single eye (the sun) of Trell's jealous brother, '''Nalt'''. In contrast, the stars of the night sky were considered the Thousand Eyes of Trell.
