'''Dalinar'''

Dalinar awaits the next highstorm, minutes away. Navani is nervous for him, this being the first visit to the visions since Odium appeared to him in one. But Dalinar needs to know his enemy. The highstorm arrives and he enters the vision with Nohadon as a younger man. A parshendi woman is there, in the place of the king's counselor. The Stormfather warns that Odium is aware of what is going on and is coming. Dalinar asks him to resist so he can talk with Venli.

'''Venli'''

Venli wonders if Odium has brought her here, but it is the wrong storm. The Alethi warlord approaches her and introduces himself as Dalinar Kholin. He asks what the conditions for a truce would be. She demands Alethkar, but he balks, suggesting other options, like splitting the kingdom and allowing a parshendi highprince. The vision starts to break apart as Odium arrives. A gaping hole opens up with brilliant light streaming through. She scrambles on the parts of the vision that are still there, trying to escape. She looks back and sees Dalinar glowing as a Radiant, holding together the balcony where he stands. She is awestruck by the [[Neshua Kadal|Knights Radiant]] that can resist her gods and win. Dalinar knits together the palace, and she rushes downstairs. A fierce wind starts up, and she hangs on. Timbre arrives, struggling to reach her. As she's blown toward the hole she snatches Timbre out of the air and falls into the hole. She hits the ground of the cave in Marat, Timbre still in her hand.

'''Dalinar'''

Dalinar feels like he's being ripped apart. The agony subsides and Odium appears as an old man. He assures Dalinar that there will be peace after Dalinar, not he, destroys the world. The vision ends and Dalinar hears the Stormfather weeping like a child, completely overwhelmed by Odium's power.
