The Stormfather is a spren. He ishas also merged with the [[Cognitive Shadow]] of the [[Almighty]]{{wob ref|1671}}; in his own words, "the memory men create for him, now that he is gone."{{book ref|sa2|89}} Despite the Vorin view of him, he has stated that he is not a Herald.{{book ref|sa2|83}}

According to [[Listener]]listener beliefs he is one of the [[Spren]]spren whichwho betrayed them and protected the humans instead of [[Listener]]sthe listeners. Because of his power, they still respect him,; however, and it is thought that he would kill any who do not respect him.
