While some people do object to that usage, it's not clear it's wrong and has been used both historically and more recently (see e.g. https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/can-you-use-comprised-of-grammar). For the Coppermind, I think it's fine to take a descriptivist approach, accept that "to be comprised of" is used widely, and not worry about finding and "fixing" all articles that use it. Likewise, I don't see any value in insisting on switching this instance back to "comprise." :)
