The '''Shinovar''' (Otherwise known as the '''Shin''') are a race of humans on the world of [[Roshar]]. The Shin live far to the west, beyond mountains that break the torrent of the raging [[Highstorm]]s. Because of this, the part of the world the Shinovar live in is a vastly different place, as the creatures there have not the need to adapting to survival in the highstorms. The land they live in has been described as "Slow" or "sluggish" compared to the rest of Roshar.
Physically, the Shin have round faces and are are one of few ethnicities on Roshar whose eyes lack [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epicanthic_fold epicanthic folds].
