He accompanied Vin to Luthadel balls, at the start of them he stayed as close as possible giving advice and support, but later moved to the steward’s dinner to gain intelligence{{book ref|mb1|12}} He would later report all details including the people who asked Vin to dance.{{book ref|mb1|13}}
Sazed found Vin missing after she followed Keliser to Kredik Shaw, he managed to get there just in time to retrieve her, though severely wounded, and took also book they found there.{{book ref|mb1|15}}
