== Allomantic savant ==
An Allomancer who has flared their metal for a long time can become a savant. With most metals, the effects are quite small. [[bronzeBronze#Allomantic Use|Seeker]]s, for example, often become savants without being aware of it. This, grantsgranting them a boost to the range of their abilities. However, some metals warp the body of savants much more. [[Tin]] savants for example experience such magnification of their senses that they can become incapacitated by bright light or loud sounds. [[Pewter]] [[Misting]]s often die before becoming savants{{epigraph ref|mb3|16}}, as they feel neither pain nor exhaustion to any great extent and therefore may ignore wounds whichthat later prove fatal.
[[Spook]] is the most obvious example of a Savantsavant in the Mistborn trilogy. He flares his tin for so long that his body comes to a point where it literally cannot survive without the tin. Any light becomes too bright for him, and he takes to wearing a blindfold at all times. This does not hamper him, however, because his other senses have become so attunedsensitive that he can feel and hear well enough to make up for the lack of vision.

== Soulcasting savant ==
Soulcasting savants begin to take on the physical characteristics of the substances that they produce with Soulcasting. Some Soulcaster [[ardent]]s take on the appearance of stone or crystal{{book ref|sa2|35}}, and [[Kaza]]'s body starts turning into smoke.{{book ref|sa3|i|4}} Both Surgebinder Soulcasters and users of Soulcaster fabrials can become savants, though the effects are much less pronounced for Surgebinders, due to the [[Nahel bond]].{{wob ref|8742}}
