The planet of Roshar predates the [[Shattering]]. It had likely existed for about 12 to 13 thousand years by the time of the True Desolation.{{wob ref|14898}} The continent was specifically grown by [[Adonalsium]].{{wob ref|3952}} Much of the ecology of the planet existed from this time, including the [[highstorm]]s and the [[spren]].{{wob ref|167}}{{wob ref|6567}} Singers lived on Roshar prior to the [[Shattering]].{{wob ref|3779}} The [[singers]] were the primary inhabitants of Roshar at this time and are likely the [[Dawnsingers]] spoken of in modern times.{{wob ref|3922}}
