Roion was a tall light-skinned man with a dark, well trimmed beard. He was the first of the Highprinces approached by [[Dalinar]] in the hopes of negotiating a joint plateau assault in the [[Shattered Plains]]{{ref|b|sa1|c|15}} as of all the Highprinces at the Shattered Plains, Roion won the fewest [[Gemheart]]s and so Dalinar thought he would be more prone to agree in order to gain greater spoils.{{ref|b|twok|c|24}} His army was known for having the best archers. His princedom was the smallest and was located on Alethkar's North-eastern border.

He attempts to stop [[Szeth]] from killing [[Dalinar]], rushing Szeth with his bodyguard. Szeth destroys Roion's sword and lashes him into the sky, then kills Roion's guard. Roion dies on impact with the ground.
