MeLaan admired Tensoon greatly for his gruff exterior and adventurous nature nature.{{wob ref|7510}} When Tensoon returned and was imprisoned as a contract breaker Melaan believed he should attempt to rebel against the kandra law to save the world from [[Ruin]] but initially Tensoon demurred.{{book ref|mb3|20}} After his escape and subsequent return MeLaan aids Tensoon in freeing [[Sazed]] from the [[second generation]].{{book ref|mb3|78}} MeLaan wears a willowy [[True Body]] made of wood.
