The region includes the nations of [[Alm]], [[Azir]], [[Desh]], [[Emul]], [[Greater Hexi]], [[Liafor]], [[Marat]], [[Steen]], [[Tashikk]], [[Tu Fallia]], [[Tukar]], [[Yezier]], and about half of [[Triax]].{{map ref|Roshar}} There are approximately thirty Makabaki languages--Azish chief among them.{{
