Llarimar tends to his duties with fervor and actively encourages Lightsong to believe in himself. He records Lightsong's dreams and his comments on the paintings he looks at believing his dreams to be prophetic and his comments to have godly meaning. He is strictly obedient to Lightsong and tolerates all his whims without complaint. {{book ref|wb|3}}
 
He assists Lightsong in his investigations at [[Mercystar|Mercystar's]] Palace. He knew Lightsong better than almost any other living being and remarked on his behaviour when it was not typical of him.{{book ref|wb|23}} He goes with Lightsong to investigate the palace and attempts to save Blushweaver with him.{{book ref|wb|52}} Captured by the rebels it is when Llarimar's life is threatened that Lightsong gives up the passs phriasephrase to control the rest of the army of Lifeless.{{book ref|wb|53}} He then tells the truth to Lightsong about his previous life as a scribe, revealing that he was his brother and that Lightsong died heroically saving his daughter. he tells him this to restore Lightsong's faith in himself and in the Iridescent Tones. {{book ref|wb|54}}
