Rock's son [[Gift]] seems to have a crush on Lift, something both she and Wyndle seem to be aware of. Gift leaves out baskets of food for Lift to "steal", though she likes to pretend he does not know she is taking them. This is undercut by Gift leaving a note reading "love" in one of the baskets. Though Wyndle encourages Lift to talk to Gift, her desire to avoid growing up makes her hesitant.{{book ref|sa4|i|5}}
