Though Iyatil now lives on Roshar, it is not her home planet; her people are from a third planet.{{qawob ref|1097|201394}} It is believed that she is from [[Silverlight]].{{qawob ref|1120|60190}} She is confirmed to have Southern Scadrian heritage, making Scadrial the third planet referenced above.{{qawob ref|1151|124879}}

Not much is known about Iyatil's abilities. She is confident that she can escape from an Alethi facility without assistance.{{book ref|sa2|64}} After she attempts to assasssinate [[Amaram]], she is described as moving "too quickly" to be chased.{{book ref|sa2|88}} She has also been confirmed to be a worldhopper, supervising Mraize.{{qawob ref|1097|201394}}
