Iyatil is extremely stealthy{{book ref|sa2|63}} and can seem to appear out of nowhere in a room.{{book ref|sa2|54}} She stays well-informed regarding the security, schedules, and geography of the area that she is in, such as the [[Alethi]] [[warcamp]]s. She is observant, skilled at tracking, and able to conceal herself, making her an effective spy and assassin.{{book ref|sa2|63}}{{book ref|sa2|64}}{{book ref|sa2|88}} She is trained in the use of several different weapons,{{book ref|sa2|63}}{{book ref|sa2|88}} and she considers escaping from an Alethi monastery without assistance to be a trivial task.{{book ref|sa2|64}} She is also able to move "too quickly" to be chased.{{book ref|sa2|88}}
Whether or not Iyatil has any magical abilities is unclear. Her Scadrian heritage could theoretically enable her to use one or more of the [[Metallic Arts]],{{wob ref|6148}}{{wob ref|12046}} but there is no confirmation that she can do so.{{wob ref|
