The Iriali are ruled by a triumvirate of rulers. The gender of the ruler is apparently unimportant, though currently they are ruled by two kings and a queen. In the events of ''Oathbringer'', Iri claims [[Dalinar]] to be a thief and refuse to side with him. They instead side with the [[Singers]], as it is an experience the One has reportedly not explored.
Following the Battle of Thaylen Field, Iri, with the help of Odium's forces, captured most of the western kingdoms, which may have included the Purelake.
