== Appearance & Personality ==
Ico has metallic bronze skin and looks human. He's is shorter than an [[Alethi]] and sturdily built. He wears tan coloured-colored human clothing whichthat has many buttoned pockets.{{book ref|oathbringersa3|99}} He has [[Shin]]-like eyes that seem to be made of bronze with holes for pupils.{{book ref|sa3|97}}{{book ref|sa3|99}}
 
Ico is a spren of very few words,; he is very bruskbrusque and speaks his mind. He's is kind enough to give [[Kaladin]],the [[Shallan]],group [[Adolin]],of [[Sylphrena]],humans [[Pattern]],and [[Vivennaspren]] andfleeing [[MayalaranKholinar]] passage to [[Celebrant]] and is helpful in explaining some things to his human passengersthem, such as the currency in shadesmar,and how stormlight[[Stormlight]] works in shadesmarShadesmar,{{book ref|oathbringersa3|99}} and [[deadeye]] spren, and how to find new passage in Celebrant.{{book ref|oathbringersa3|101}} He gets exasperated at times, but he is understanding and practical. == History ==
Ico was born before the [[Recreance]].{{book ref|sa3|101}} At some point he became captain of a [[Ico's ship|ship]], and around {{Rosharan date|1174}}, Ico and his crew picked up [[Kaladin]], [[Shallan]], [[Adolin]], [[Sylphrena]], [[Pattern]], [[Vivenna]], and [[Mayalaran]] from [[Riino's lighthouse]] and gave them passage to [[Celebrant]].{{book ref|sa3|97}}{{book ref|sa3|99}} Captain Ico used their [[Stormlight]] to power a [[hydrator]], which used a bead of ice to produce water for the humans to drink.{{book ref|sa3|99}}{{book ref|sa3|102}} He and his crew also sold the humans clothing to wear. He refused to take them either to [[Thaylen City]] or to [[Cultivation's Perpendicularity]]; Celebrant was as far west as he was willing to go because of the stories of ships vanishing and of other trouble to the east. Ico advised the group that they should stay in Shadesmar, claiming that the [[Physical Realm]] was not a pleasant place at the moment.{{book ref|sa3|101}}

Captain Ico picked up the Radiants and their team from the lighthouse, giving them passage to Celebrant. He gave [[Kaladin]] a device that contained a soul of ice so that there will be water for the humans to drink.{{book ref|oathbringer|99}} He gave [[Adolin]] clothing to wear and remarked that he looks like a [[Honorspren]] going to a party. He refused to take them to [[Cultivation's Perpendicularity]] because ships that travel there had not returned lately. Before they parted ways he told the team that they should stay in Shadesmar as the [[Physical Realm]] was not a pleasant place at the moment. {{book ref|oathbringer|101}}
