When Renoux and Spook were captured, Ham lead the attack to rescue them while Kelsier fought the Inquisitor at the same time. Ham survived the Collapse and continued serve as a general under [[Elend], whom he also befriended. However, he proved to be an ineffective general in some ways, as Vin observed, because of his attachment to his men. As a result, Captain [[Demoux]] eventually replaced him as a general.

 

 

Ham had a wife and children, who he preferred to distance himself from while working on thieving jobs for their own protection, sometimes going months without seeing them. He was rejoined with them when [[Sazed]] moved the survivor's caves together.
