“Last time you might remember i was trying to settle on a design for post-flashback Kaladin, well i made some progress as u can see! Here we have him and Syl during books 1 and 2-3 with a speculative concept of his Shardplate and Shardblade thrown in as a display of his progress with his oaths. His helmet design was something i came up with to retain his angry aesthetic whilst maintaining a heroic appearance with some samurai elements thrown in to keep it funky fresh. Aside from that i made it to convey 'protagonist' upon first sight with some windswept elements which i added to the Shardblade. Both the plate skirt and blade use a diamond motif-(diamond double eye of the radiants for Sylblade) as I liked diamonds as a metaphor for Kal- commonplace and undervalued on Roshar, but Unbreakable! Of course Windrunners are probs associated with some other gemstone for all i know. :)”
