== History ==

Initially, Highprince [[Dalinar Kholin]] refused the aid of stormwardens, such as Elthebar, but later he accepted them due to the military advantage they offered.{{book ref|twok|60}} Though it was unlikely for stormwardens to be wrong about coming [[highstorm]]s, Elthebar didn't predict one that occurred in 1173 while Dalinar and [[Renarin]] were riding back from a private conversation with King [[Elhokar Kholin]] at the [[Pinnacle]].{{book ref|twok|18}} Dalinar and Renarin hardly got to Dalinar's warcamp before the storm broke free and were forced to take shelter in a barrack. Dalinar was struck by another [[Dalinar's visions|vision]] in front of all his men. Elthebar also often tried to predict the weather for Dalinar, but his promises were always filled with caveats.
