Dockson has a squarish face, which Kelsier observes is well-suited to his moderately stocky build. He has black hair and sports a short "[[half-beard]]", which may be the Scadrian term for "goatee" (there are no goats in the Final Empire to inspire the term).<ref>{{citeweb|url=[https://www.reddit.com/r/Mistborn/comments/4qhppj/no_spoilers_half_beard/}}]</ref> Since he "first put forth whiskers some twenty years before," we can assume Dockson is middle-aged by the events of Mistborn.
