Their corpses are [[Shardblade]]s.{{book ref|oathbringer|101}} They can be any type of spren, [[Mayalaran]] being [[cultivationspren]]{{17s ref|post|224039|Does this mean that the Radiant that the blade was originally bonded to was an Edgedancer?|date=2 February 2015}} and Captain Ico's Father being a [[Reacher]].{{book ref|sa3|101}} Their eyes appear to be scratched out, though not like empty eye sockets, but like a painting that's been defaced.{{book ref|sa3|93}} It isn't known for certain whether they maintain elements of their spren type as only Mayalaran has been seen in detail. She is described as having features that seem to be made of ashen brown cords the thickness of hair,{{book ref|oathbringer|87}} giving the appearance of rough cloth{{book ref|oathbringer|89}}, string{{book ref|sa3|101}} or brown vines{{book ref|sa3|117}} which seems to be a dead version of cultivationspren who are composed of vines.
