Chulls are massive crustaceans with thick legs with large claws and a stone-like shell. Their carapaces are typically red.{{book ref|WoK|4}} Chulls have whiplikewhip-like antennae that grow in pace with their shell as they age, so that the chull can sense out spaces to determine if they're large enough to pass through (much like a cat's whiskers){{url ref|https://www.reddit.com/r/Stormlight_Archive/comments/oni8rb/i_spent_like_40_minutes_drawing_chull_toes/h5t8i22?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3|text=Inkthinker's comments on a drawing of a chull|site=Reddit}}, and beady fist-size black eyes.{{book ref|WoK|28}}
