Appearance and Personality
Blushweaver is considered the epitome of beauty. She has glossy black hair, pale skin and a lusciously curvaceous body. warbreaker It is suggested that all the Returned look like a kind of perfection. Though Mercystar was built heavily and Blushweaver thin, both were considered to have a godly beauty. warbreaker Vasher later confirms that the returnedReturned look the way they believe they should look. Blushweaver therefore looks like what she percieves of the ultimate in honest beauty. warbreaker

Like most Returned, Blushweaver has become decadent due to the nature of the Court of Gods. A group of servants follow her wherever she goes, meeting her every whim, and this has made her somewhat lazy and capricious. However, despite this, she is determined to improve the fate of Hallandren and takes her role as a god seriously enough to expend great effort to control the Hallandren military in order to preserve Hallandren.warbreaker warbreaker

She directly urges Lightsong to action.warbreakerwarbreaker When he suggests that they just allow the universe to take its course, she tells him to "Fight it!" warbreaker This shows that she is not as lost as some of the other gods to boredom and indolence.

During Warbreaker
When Blushweaver Returns, she is given a seat on the Council of Social Ills, where she weekly participates in important votes.warbreaker

She is one of the oldest living Returned. warbreaker

She is very aware of the subtleties of politics and is very active in trying to defend Hallandren and their way of life. To this end she lobbies the gods who have been assigned military responsibilities and therefore hold the command phrases for the Lifeless armies. She spends her efforts on these four Returned and experiences a lot of success.

She promises to vote however Hopefinder, - another Returned, - wishes. In exchange, he gives her the security phrase to his portion of the Lifeless army.warbreaker She also manages to convince Mercystar to give up her Lifeless troops as well. Though she has a very warm relationship with Lightsong, he refuses to give her his Lifeless commands and she also fails to convince the Returned Allmother to part with her pass phrase. Still she is left in control of half of the armies of Hallandren.

Later, Blushweaver is kidnapped and forced to give up her Lifeless security phrase during the Pahn Kahl rebellion. The false priests, in truth Pahn Kahl rebels, later slit her throat to show Lightsong how willing to kill they are. This eventually wins the rebellion control over the entire Lifeless Army.warbreaker
