The Shard Ambition was created when [[Adonalsium]] was Shattered by a group of people on [[Yolen]].{{msh ref|3|2}} Uli Da took up Ambition and Ascended, later making her way to the [[Threnodite]] system, where it was uncertain whether or not she Invested herself in the system.{{au ref|threnodite}}
[[Odium]] desired to be the sole remaining Shard in the Cosmere and considered Ambition to be one of the most dangerous rivals it could face. As a result it had them as number one on their list of Shards to eliminate.{{wob ref|1550}} Eventually the they would clash during a conflict that also included [[Mercy]].{{epigraph ref |row|27}} The conflict took place in all three [[Realmatic Theory|Realms]] and lead to Ambition fleeing the system she would later be [[Splinter|Splintered]] elsewhere despite fighting back.{{au ref|threnodite}}{{wob ref|1554}} This battle had profound effects on the Spiritual Realm, and affected Threnody in "disturbing" ways,{{epigraph ref|sa4|27}} as well as far reaching affects elsewhere.{{wob ref|8881}}{{wob ref|1662}} Ultimately this death was not considered a tragedy by some, notably one Shard went as far as to state they were happy Ambition was splintered.{{epigraph ref|sa3|40}}
