Vin's sister was a seekerSeeker. She was killed by Vin's mother with a bronze spike, hemalurgicallyHemalurgically stealing her powers and killing her. Vin's mother then spiked Vin with this bronze 'earring', which later gave her the power to pierce copperclouds.
