Ranette and Jaxy return to Elendel from their honeymoon in the Malwish Consortium, and Ranette grumbles about there having been too much fun and not enough working. They pull up to their house, and Ranette is shocked to find that her property has been greatly expanded. Jaxy explains that it was a wedding gift Wayne. Jaxy hands her a note from Wayne, written in crayon. He thanks her for putting up with him, and tells her to enjoy the gift. Ranette tells Jaxy that she misses him, and that he was the most fun person to shoot she'd ever known.
