Shasta has tendency to wear simple, plain clothes. She wears her hair in a bun. Alcatraz describes her as pretty, if only she didn't wear a pair of horn-rimmed glasses. While working undercover as Ms. Fletcher, Alcatraz's caseworker, she displayed a very unpleasant personality, often criticizing Alcatraz and pointing out what a terrible person he is. Her attitude ~~forward~~torwards Alcatraz changes however during the events of Siege of Mokia, when they have a discussion like two equals. While interacting with other Librarians, she is concrete and businesslike. Shasta appears to be ashamed that she doesn't have full control over her Smedry Talent.{{book ref\|a1\|10}}
